Just a typical Italian weekend

Well this weekend was fun.  Saturday David and I went to a winery in Soave.  When we came home we went for a bike ride into the hills.  However, I had not anticipated how difficult riding in the hills with 20 extra pounds that move would be!  So we didn't make it that far into the hills but it was still a very nice ride.  I also took her to the swing set behind our house.  She's still a little too small for it but as long as I push slow, she's fine.  And she loved it!  She did  not stop laughing.  She kept letting go of the bar and lose her balance and back in the swing.  It made me nervous but she obviously enjoyed it since she did it repeatedly.  We're going to start walking over there more often.  Yesterday, another gorgeous day so we spent all day outside.  Hannah tasted bird poop, a couple wood chips and some berries.  She didn't get a chance to swallow any of it though.  Yesterday evening David and I sat out front with a bottle of wine and enjoyed the sun while Hannah hung out with the neighbors.

Anxiously awaiting spring

So the weather is here is gorgeous! It's been in the 60's and sunny the last week. So of course we all have spring fever here. We've been going on walks, runs, and bike rides. Matter of fact, David told me the other day that I'm almost to the point where I'm running fast enough to not hurt his knees!!!! That's right, David has to work so hard to slow down to my pace, that it actually hurts his knees. But that's alright, I'm still proud of myself, I've knocked 3 mins off my total 3 mile time in my last two runs. The last two days David and I have been trying to simplify our lives and make this whole international moving process easier. I'm down to 6 pairs of shoes!!!! Trust me, that's an accomplishment. This morning we went through all of David's stuff and seperated all of it into the "keep pile" and the "issued pile." Hannah decided to help! Tomorrow we're going over to Michelle and Vivian's house for an Easter dinner, so I'm sure I'll have more to post tomorrow. Ciao ciao.

St Patty's Day

Well we celebrated a day earlier, with a couple of friends and lots of food. We had the American tradition of corned beef and cabbage, with some Irish sides. We also put one of those giant baby gate rings up in our yard, so that the babies could hang outside with us without getting into everything. Everyone had on their green, Vivian and Hannah actually had on the exact same shirt. But then if you've ever been to our px, then you know that's not an uncommon thing. Anyways, I have some pics to post.

Spring fever

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Vicenza. It was sunny and 65, so Hannah and I went for a long walk. The walk wore her out though, because she was asleep by the time we got home! After she woke up, we went outside for a few minutes and I let Hannah crawl around. She played with a plant, a piece of bark, and a stick. Then she tried to eat the stick. As the title suggests, we are very ready for spring so that we can go outside and play more. Domino, the youngest kitten, is in heat. She's been walking around the house for the last 3 days crying and acting nuts. And she's been making mad dashes for the door every time it's open. For dinner we went to Vivian's house. Lem was there, so they all got to play together. They're so funny together. They each have their own personalities, and they interact with each other a lot now. Hannah stole 2 pieces of bread for them, Vivian stole one of Hannah's shoes, and Lem just grabbed whatever he could, whenever he could. They got a hold of a handheld massager that was a huge hit. Vivian tried to undress Hannah, but she does that almost every time she sees her! Yeah, they have fun together.

Intro

Okay, so I decided to copy Harrison. What can I say, Hannah was jealous and wanted her own blog too. I should've done this a long time ago! So right now Hannah's chowing down on a blueberry muffin. She hasn't been up long but she wakes up starving. It's raining agian, but maybe we'll go for a jog later if it clears up.
