Just another Saturday morning

Recent Creations

There's a new place in Spring Lake, Noah's Art.  It's similar to other places that Hannah has gone for art but what makes this place different is that it is only for kids. And it's pretty close to the house.  Hannah went last week, for Fun Friday.

This is what she came home with.  It's designed to look like one of her stuffed animals.

Banzai time

It's that time of year, when the pool comes out.

Before the weeks of solid rain, we had it out a lot!

Riley and Hannah will spend hours in it, just wearing themselves out.

Riley has figured out that she can climb up the slide and then slide down into the water.  It's heart stopping (for me) fun (for Riley).

Hannah and Riley also have this thing.  Riley climbs up, and after Riley gets about halfway, Hannah, from the top of the slide, starts jumping.  This causes Riley to bounce on the slide until she lets go and slides into the water.

Riley usually lasts about an hour before she's so tired she can't stand it.

This summer is the 3 year mark for the pool.  It's definitely been around and held up well.  Its fun for kids and adults.  It's easy to maintain.  And there are no maintenance expenses.  Unless you rip the bottom  because you run up the slide and hook the archway, ripping it from the bottom of the pool, David!  That being said, it was a $10 fix.

Just a story

Last night the girls were in the bath together when Hannah called me.  When I walked in the bathroom, I discovered that Riley had been taking the water in a large cup and dumping it on the floor of the bathroom.  Really Riley!?!?!!  Hannah NEVER did that.  She's such a stinker!

Scenes from the last month

I've been busy.  Mostly feeling miserable with unpleasant pregnancies.  In the moments I do have when I feel good, I try to take advantage of them.  So here's some of the stuff we've been up to.

Roller Blade Hannah.  We're making progress!

Lots of water time.  But that was before the rainstorm that has fallen upon the entire state for the last month.

We lost power in the middle of cooking dinner.  So David and his dad pulled out the camping equipment and and cooked in the garage.

We made it to the park.

We enjoyed a week of vacation bible school.

The girls were up to their usual silly behaviors at home.

More chaos at vacation bible school.

We hung out with Ethan.

We spent the 4th of July at our nation's capitol.

We spent our anniversary off the Chesapeake bay.

David received a promotion.

Hannah and Riley performed a birthday parade for David.

We made it back out to the park.
