Questions for Kids

I have four to post today, I've gotten behind in posting them.

Imagine you were in a contest to see who could eat the most food.  What kind of food would you want to be eating?  Frog legs and snails.  (Hannah is our foodie)

What is something that people do that gets on your  nerves?  When I tell someone something, trying to help them and they don't listen to me and then ask me for help again.

You've just been invited to be the school mascot.  What kind of dance moves do you do?  Ballet, tap and jazz.

What are three things your friends would say that you are really good at: Art, I'm kind and I have unusual taste buds.  I questioned this and she explained that most people thought it was weird that she eats snails.  And then there was that one time, in geography class, when everyone tasted black tea, and didn't like it because it wan't sweet but she did.

Questions For Kids

Today's Questions
1) Imagine you are playing Hide N Seek at your school, where do you hide?  At first, she wanted to skip this question, because she is homeschooled.  But I told her to pretend it was at the coop, which is the Family Life Center at our church.  Her answer then, was to hide in the big pantry, in the kitchen.

2) What is one way that you enjoy helping around the house?  She answered that she enjoys helping Riley get dressed, and she enjoys helping Joshua understand things.

Questions For Kids

Question 1: If you created a breakfast cereal, what would it taste like?
Hannah's Answer: Pumpkin Pie.  I questioned this, because Hannah isn't known to love pumpkin pie. She said she had seen "Happy Holidays" on the fire department sign just then, which made her think of pumpkin pie.  Hence, her answer.  So I asked if she would create this cereal because it's what she wanted or because she thought that other people would like it.  And her reply was that she would create it for her enjoyment.

Question 2: You've been granted magical powers.  What does everything you touch turn into?
Hannah's answer: Gold.  I questioned this again, because it doesn't seem like a "Hannah" answer.  She isn't consumed with material things or having a lot of stuff.  She said this question made her think of the movie, Pitch Perfect (a well loved movie for all in our house) and the final song sung by the Troublemakers in the first one.  It's part of a B.o.B. song "I've Got the Magic" and the line is "every track I touch turns into to Gold".  I asked her is she knew what that meant, so I explained it to her.  After giving her the meaning, I asked "Would you have everything you touch literally turn to gold, or would you write songs that always turned into gold records"?  Hannah chose the latter.

Questions for Kids

Question one: Imagine you are a fashion designer.  What article of clothing do you revolutionize?
Hannah's answer: It would be two things. dresses and shirts.  For dresses. she would make more winter appropriate clothing.  With shirts, she would make more plain shirts that go with everything.

Question two:  If you had to wear the same clothes every day, for the rest of your life, what would they look like?
Hannah's answer: I would wear tennis shoes, jeans, a short sleeve shirt and a jacket.  The jeans would be plain, and dark blue.  The tennis shoes would be black with neon colors for the stitching and laces.  The shirt would be hooded, light green and with flowers on the top part of it.  There would also be pockets on the shirt.  The jacket would be a little nicer, white and with a collar.

Questions for Kids

I recently signed up to get text messages that are interesting/unique questions for me to ask Hannah. I'm going to try and blog them, for the sake always having them.

We've had roughly 3 solid weeks of house guests, it was wonderful but schedule upsetting.  So I was behind on asking the questions.  Therefor, today, I asked Hannah two questions.

1) If you could turn into someone's shadow for the day, whose shadow would you want to be? Hannah's answer: Riley.  I asked why and she said because Joshua gets more spankings than Riley, Riley goes to school with Hannah's favorite teachers, she doesn't have schoolwork all day, like Hannah.  Hannah would not want to my shadow because I have to do things like pay ills, and she would not want to be daddy's shadow because he has to leave his family and go to work.

What is the bravest things that you've ever done?  At first she didn't think she could think of anything brave, so she asked if it could be the most mature thing she's ever done.  I said yes but then she came up with two brave things: hanging upside down on the jungle gym and trying out for the dance team.
