Yes, that's right. I am not 28, I am almost 30!!! Kinda freaky for a girl who can still remember feeling awkward in high school. I asked for one thing for my birthday, to blow out candles on a birthday cake. I haven't done that in all the time I've known David and for some reason I really wanted to do it. David obliged. He did get a few items for me, all things I wanted. Let's see: running shoes, gloves for my spinning class and a new book. I joked about where David and I must be in our relationship when the things I get as gifts are things I would get anyways; i.e. running shoes. It's perfect though. The evening of my birthday David and a handful of friends sang Happy Birthday to me and made me blow out 28 candles! I could've done with just a 2 and an 8! It was fun. I love where I am in my life even though I am not where I thought I would be.

"Almost 30" is nothing! Wait til you're "Early 30's!"
Here's to a great year ahead...and as for the gift requests...that was hilarious and so true!!
30 is nice. It's a round number. Plus I feel so much more mature.
